The details of the hemomicrocirculatory bed of leg muscle proper fasciae in treatment of shaft fractures by transosseous osteosynthesis technique using hirudotherapy (An experimental-and-morphological study)

Abstract

Morphological study of the hemomicrocirculatory bed of canine leg muscle proper fasciae has been performed using myosin ATPase histochemical reaction in treatment of shaft fractures by transosseous osteosynthesis technique and hirudotherapy addition. The hemomicrocirculatory bed of leg muscle proper fasciae was intensified under the influence of biologically active substances of leech saliva, as well as under the draining effect, and, accordingly, blood supply of injury zone was improved, being accompanied by a complex of positive clinical changes — more rapid reduction of posttraumatic edemas and fracture consolidation acceleration.
