Errors and complications of external transpedicular osteosynthesis in treatment of patients with scoliosis
Abstract
The use of external transpedicular fixator for treatment of patients with scoliosis has the advantages of gradual graduated deformity correction, which allows to avoid neurological and vascular complications related to the spine traction and that of spinal canal contents. However, the use of any invasive technical device is dangerous because of potential errors or complications. The analysis of errors and complications of the method made in treatment of patients with scoliosis has allowed to complete their distribution and classification.
